Having first opened Warkop in Richmond in 2021, owners Barry Susanto (ex-Navi Sous Chef) and Erwin Chandra enlisted Tracado to create media traction and excitement for the opening of their second Indonesian sandwich shop in Melbourne CBD in 2023.

An abbreviation of ‘Warung Kopi' (which refers to Indonesia’s casual café-style street stalls), the cafe is a wholesome reflection of two cultures coming together, made evident by the casual and jovial nature of the store and its owners, the intricacy of the flavours, the considered use of local produce and suppliers and fine-dining-quality of their creations.

Gaining a cult following among Melbournians since opening both their stores, Warkop was recently named in Good Food Guide's Top 40 Cafes of 2023, which inspired them to continue to expand and elevate their offering.

Tracado developed a pure PR campaign which included a detailed media release about the new café; an extensive media list of relevant Victorian journalists across food and beverage, lifestyle, business and event verticals; tailored pitches to key targets for first-look exclusives; coordination of business listings on tourism websites; and coordination of interviews and media photoshoots.

It resulted in several glowing reviews across Herald Sun, Good Food (which was syndicated nationally), Broadsheet, Urban List and Concrete Playground as well as further profiling opportunities for the owners in Geelong Advertiser, Broadsheet and trade magazines.
